From the estimate, through the design and templating process, until the installation is complete, we at Richmond Granite will work with you to be sure the job goes smoothly and your are happy every step of the way.

Step 1 – Careful Measurements

We make sure to take careful measurements of the area. Get all the necessary widths and lengths.

Step 2 – Choosing a Countertop

This is the step where you choose your new countertop from our large collection.

Step 3 – Removing Old Countertop

We carefully remove the old countertop paying particular attention to the cabinets and sink. Demolish your old countertop just before installing the new one.

Step 4 – The Dry Run

Installing the countertop on top of the cabinet shell is the next, making sure it fits snugly. Some trimming and sanding may be necessary to get the countertop to set properly if it is not perfectly square.

Step 5 – Adding Backsplash

When adding the backsplash, we make sure it fits tightly against the wall. Square it off and make all necessary adjustments before proceeding to the next step.

Step 6 – Glue It

After checking to make sure we have a snug fit, it’s time to glue all materials using a 100 percent clear silicone caulking adhesive.

Step 7 – Dry Time

Allowing the countertop to set overnight after examining the installation to make sure an even, consistent bond has been created we check all of the corners. When drying, we place heavy objects on top the countertop to help create an effective bond. Also use a level to make sure the countertop is straight from back to front and side to side.

Step 8 – Cleaning the Countertop

Finally avoiding scratching the surface area we clean the marble countertop.
